He is survived by: his wife Lucille Ashby Helms; his children, Jo Dickerson (Gary), Yvonne Bright (Randy), Penny Capps (Paul) and Dean Helms; his siblings, Henry Helms (Trudy), Tyson Helms (Vonda) and Libby Sharpe; his grandchildren, Daniel Dickerson (Laura), Brandy Fleming (James), Amy Bowes, Gina Helms (Luke Naylor), Katie Ashley (Will), Jordan Helms (Jennifer), Johnathan Helms, Kristen Whitlow (Tim) and Jamie Staley (Jamie); and his great grandchildren, Cole (Ruby), Ashby, Jonah, Luda Dickerson, Hayden, Brandon Fleming, Drake, Daisy Bowes, Addie, Layla Ashley, Samuel Jordan Helms, Cassie, Lee Murphy, Savannah, Reagan Whitlow, Caleb and Maggie Staley.
