It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Atkinson Chandler (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on July 10, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Atkinson and Rosa Stafford Atkinson; her husband William Kenneth "Ken" Chandler; her sons, Billy Carter, Jr. (Elaine) and Baron Chandler; her siblings, Christine Burr and Junior Atkinson; and her great great grandchild Hailie Freeze.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Chandler (Virginia), David Chandler (Kim Sieler) and Sharon Grubb (Donald); and her sister Dot Atkinson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, two great great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
