He is survived by: his wife Maria Angela Pflug Nickerson; his son Mark Nickerson (Jeanne) of Indianapolis, IN; his granddaughters, Glenna Monzella (Mike) and Holland Bowald (Grant); his great grandchildren, Wesley and William Bowald; his son-in-law Fred Johnson of Pasadena, CA; his grandchildren, Dean Johnson and Juliet Johnson; his brother David Nickerson (Kristin) of Great Falls, VA; his nieces, Kirstin Nickerson of Herndon, VA and Louise Nickerson (Bob Rosenberg) of London, UK; his great-nephew Þorsteinn Rosenberg; and his great-nieces, Rivka Rosenberg and Emilia Nickerson.
