He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Nadine Pettiford Dixon and Elder Darius Hudson "Pete" Dixon, Sr.; and his sister Ethel Dixon. He is survived by: his daughter Sheria Kay Dixon Thompson (Wade); his wife Betty Morris Jeffries Dixon; his siblings, Garnetta "Sparkle" Dixon Pickett and Darius "Bug" Dixon; his sister-in-law Aljean Davis; his nieces and nephews, Carolyn Jones Medine (Scott), Sheliah Jeffries Cobb (Harold), Beverly Jeffries Eason, Angella Hester, BeLedda Dixon, Maverick Jeffries (Helen) and Jerry Crisp Jr.; his great-nephew Cameron Clay Hester; and his great-niece Kayla Burns.
A wake will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jeffries Cross Baptist Church (2015 Jeffries Cross Rd, Burlington, NC 27217). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the White Level Primitive Baptist Church (4655 White Level Rd, Mebane, NC 27302).
