It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theodore Roosevelt Duckworth (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gurney L. Duckworth and Brazilla Braswell Duckworth; his wife Hilda Mansfield Duckworth; and his siblings, Ray, Wayne (June Duckworth), Paula Martindale, Wilma Hicks and Jal Moser.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Duckworth, Kathie Patterson (Mic Brooks) of Burlington, Gurnie Duckworth (Kathy) of Burlington, Rickie Duckworth (Wanda) of Burlington and Randy Duckworth of Burlington; his grandchildren, Brandi Duckworth, Lauren Russell, Ryan Duckworth, Cole and Chase Patterson; his sister Mildred Buchanan (James) of Morganton, NC; his niece Julie Minor of Graham; and his close friends, Will McManus and Lori Lineberry. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
