We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2025, at the age of 88, William Arthur Dickerson (Burlington, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may William find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Fredrick Dickerson and Lucy Hicks; and his wife Carolyn. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Robinson (Michael) of Pinehurst, N. C. and Stacie Vokaty (Chris) of Blythewood, S. C.; his granddaughter Elliana Vokaty; and his siblings, Sylvia Greene of Union Level and Robert Dickerson of Henderson, N. C..

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (400 S Broad St, Burlington, NC 27215). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Burlington on Broad St (400 S Broad St, Burlington, NC 27215).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church.

“My sincere thoughts go out to all William's family and friends. Please know that I share your loss. William was a good & fun friend that I enjoyed knowing from back in the days that I worked at Carolina Biological Supply for several years in the 1960's. The accompanying photo is reminiscent of lighter, more fun filled times when we enjoyed each others company...and this paticular time we, he, Bob Stewart (in the middle) and me on the right, celebrating "bald is beautiful'! William had the most!”
