With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Edward Wood of Burlington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 16, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alex and Eula Johnson Wood; his great grandchild Everett William Dean Sell; and his siblings, Frances Eubanks and Donald Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Caroll Kincaid Wood; his daughters, Teresa Class of Greensboro, Deanna Gajdik (Jonathan) of Cumming, GA and Kathie Sell (Buddy) of Wichita, KS.; his grandchildren, Brett Sell MD, Samantha Lunsford (Craig), Bryce Sell (Kennedy), Brock Sell, Taylor Gajdik and Brady Sell; his great grandchildren, Hazel Sell and Luca Sell; and his sister Janet Johnson (Steve).
