It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William McKinley Mitchell Jr. (Burlington, North Carolina), who passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mitchell and Katherine Mitchell; his wife Sara Jane; and his son David Mitchell. He is survived by: his sons, William Mitchell III and Gary Steven Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Sara, Barbara, Justin, Matthew, Steven, Amber and Katy. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
