He was predeceased by: his parents, Clennie Wilson Scott, Sr. and Jane Lee Byrd; and his siblings, Roger Byrd (Jean), Helen "Teeny" Rainey (Burton) and William "Billy" Scott (Nancy).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Brown Scott; his sons, Greg Scott (Susie) of Burlington, David Scott (Charlene) of Burlington and Jason Scott (Abbey) of Cary; his grandchildren, Ben Scott (Amber), Paul Jollay (Ashli), Christian Scott, Ian Scott and Evie Scott; his great grandchildren, Owen Scott, Bailey Jollay, Riley Jollay and Zoey Jollay; and his brother David Byrd (June). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Wilson's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the First United Methodist Church of Elon's Breakfast Ministry.
