It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara June Ayers Anglin (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Annice Greene Shepherd; her husband John Robert "Bob" Anglin; her children, Beverly Mitchell and Steve Anglin; her granddaughter Candy Pittman; and her siblings, Nadine Taub, Deloise Ledford, Billie Jean Tomberlin, J. C. Ayers, Bobby Ayers and Boyd Ayers.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Anglin of Burnsville, Kathy Pittman (Ronnie) of Candler and Willie "Ronnie" Anglin (Joyce) of Burnsville; her grandchildren, Anaweg Wilson (Bucky) of Burnsville, Penny Mashburn (Josh) of Canton, Katie Ethridge (Ryan) of Raleigh, Willie Walkingstick of Spruce Pine, Willie "Ray" Anglin (Amelia) of Burnsville and John Anglin (Marie) of Burnsville; and her sister Peggy Buckner of Johnson City, TN. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cane River Baptist Church (15 Cane River Church Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
