With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Pate (Burnsville, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Dodd and Maude King Dodd; her husband Ronald Franklin Pate; and her siblings, Bennie, Steve, Clay Dodd and Sanna Dodd.
She is survived by: her children, Ann Crowder of Little Switzerland, Amanda Pate (Kevin Griffith) of Blue Rock, Robert Pate (Lahna) of Spruce Pine and Ryan Pate of Crabtree; her grandchildren, Tyler Crowder, Trenton Crowder, Elizabeth, Clay, Emily Pate and Jenny Griffith; her great grandchild Waylon Pate; and her siblings, Bobby Dodd of Crabtree and Christine Dodd Goforth of Marion. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bee Log Hill Cemetery (285 Bee Log Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714).
