He was predeceased by: his mother Tempie Ann Hensley; his uncle Gilbert Buchanan; and his great grandchild Jermiah Woosley. He is survived by: his wife Glenna Presnell Buchanan; his daughters, Pamela Buchanan (Kim) of Asheville, Sherry Schlagenhauf (Claude) of Hickory and Renee Buchanan of Saluda, SC; his grandchildren, Lauren Schlagenhauf, Brittany Schlagenhauf, Elizabeth Hollaway (Charlie), Rebecca Woolsey (Kevin) and Hannah Welch (Joshua); and his great grandchildren, Madeline, Charlie Joseph, Malachi, Emmalyn, Levi and Graham.
