It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bud Edwards of Burnsville, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reece Edwards and Pansy Laws Edwards; his siblings, Ronald Edwards, Dale Edwards and Gail Edwards; his sister-in-law Debbie Byrd; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Mamie Deyton.

He is survived by: his wife Louella Deyton Edwards; his daughters, Kellie Ledford (Todd) of Maryville, TN and Cindy Tipton (Paul) of Burnsville; his grandchildren, Victoria Sterling, Kristen Lane (BJ), Allison Woody (Dalton) and Nicolas Tipton; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Liam and Adelaide Lane; his siblings-in-law, Lucille Edwards, Ann Murphy (Terry), Sarah Harris (Johnny), Dawn Peterson (Andy), Tammy Ward (Kenneth) and Darrin Byrd; and his friend Terrell Deyton. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

All friends and family are requested to meet at Yancey Funeral Services by 1:30 to go in procession and ask that you please wear a mask.
