He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edwards and Ida Mae Mathis Edwards; his wife Joan Edwards; his siblings, S. T. Edwards (Margie), Dora Mae Ledford (Burl) and Wanell Edwards; and his sister-in-law Luetta Edwards.
He is survived by: his sons, Dairen Edwards (Tammy) of Burnsville, Aaron Edwards (Christy) of Pensacola and Charlie Edwards (Sonya) of Waynesville; his adoptive daughter Vicki Edwards Trimble; his grandchildren, Seth Edwards of Burnsville, Zane Edwards (Josie) of Sylva, Sydney Edwards of Burnsville and Easton Edwards of Waynesville; and his brother Cecil Edwards of West Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
