He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Mary Whitson; his children, Julie Robinson (Rick) of Hickory, NC, Malinda Silver (Dennis) of Burnsville, NC and Daniel Whitson (Michelle) of Forest City, NC; his brother Don Whitson; his grandchildren, Amanda Farris (Jonah), Casey Robinson (Ben Parham), Erin Robinson, Danielle Deese (Nathan), Holland Crain (Avery), Autumn Silver and Sawyer Croix Silver; and his great grandchild Casmiria Deese.
