She was predeceased by: her parents, William Norwood and Hazel King Norwood; her husband Rev. Ben Thomas; and her brother Rev. Jimmy Norwood. She is survived by: her children, Sandy McPeters (Jim) of Burnsville, David Thomas (Zarona) of Tennessee, Andrew "Andy" Thomas (Kim) of Hudson, Wendy Daniels (Tim) of Morganton and Audrey Thomas of Lenoir. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
