With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene McKinney (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 29, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rama McKinney and Stella Mae McCourry McKinney; and his siblings, Wayne, Rev. Royce, James, Rev. Jack, Wesley, Sam McKinney and Mary Dale.

He is survived by: his sister Helen McKinney of Green Mountain. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge at 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777. Keep Eugene's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
