It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald K. Aldridge (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on June 16, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Aldridge and Effie Burleson Aldridge; and his siblings, Virginia Cornett, Francis Dillard, Billie June Watson, Jim and Bruce Aldridge.
He is survived by: his wife Zella; his daughters, Teresa Bunton of Spruce Pine and Christy Coffey (Mike) of Drexel; his stepchildren, Diane Sudderth (Larry) of Montezuma, Cathy Batchelor (Phil) of Arlington, TX and Jerry Bunton (Leslie) of Jacksonville, FL; his sisters, Tessie Batton of Upland, CA and Merium Broome of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Blake Vance, Lindsey Vance, Annie Bunton, Aiden Bunton, Kevin Ledford and McKensie Watson; his stepgrandchildren, Mindy Shook, Levin Sudderth, Daniel Kidd, Ryan Batchelor, Amy Batchelor, Ashely Blakeslee, Seth Burleson and Jessi Burleson; and his sister-in-law Roberta Aldridge. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
