He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Vance and Ella Trivett Vance; his children, Pamela Lee Vance and Michael Allen Vance; and his siblings, Vida Carpenter, Selma Vance, Georgie Prather, Ted Vance, Doug Vance, Sue Vance, Alice, Thelma and Daniel Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Febuary Vance; his son Jeff Vance (Donna) of Spear; his grandchildren, Jennifer Gills, Kristy Vance, Brittany Calhoun, Allan Calhoun, Ethan Vance, Takoda Vance, Adam Vance, Tasha Sparks and Dalton Vance; his great grandchildren, Carmen Vance, Jaxson Sparks, Maddox, Jaelynn Patton and Hayden Gills; his siblings, Joe Vance (Linda) of Morganton and Brenda Clements (Don) of Rutherford College; his siblings-in-law, Pat Vance of Stamey Branch and Eddie Piercy of Morganton; and his cousins, Butch and John Vance. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stamey Town Baptist Church Cemetery.
