He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sons, Jeff Simmons of Burnsville and Andy Simmons (Angie) of Lincolnton; his grandson Lance Simmons (Emily) of Newport News, VA.; and his siblings, Thelma Loftis of Burnsville, Genevive Harrison of Burnsville, Sue Marsh (Jim) of Burnsville, Bob Simmons (Jean) of Burnsville, James Simmons (Grace) of Burnsville, William Simmons of Burnsville and Thomas Simmons (Elva) of Old Fort.
