He was predeceased by: his parents, Fonz Hughes and Frances Bailey Hughes; and his son Tony Hughes. He is survived by: his sons, Derek Hughes (Debbie) and Brett Hughes (Rachel); his daughter-in-law Pat Hughes; his grandchildren, T. J. Hughes, Dakota Hughes (Christie), Kiana Hughes, Samantha Duncan (Austin) and Shane Murphy (Julie); and his great grandchild Scarlett Hughes. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister, along with several nieces and nephews.
