He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace McDowell and Alma Lawing McDowell; and his siblings, Ophia Ogle, Faye Buchanan, Katie Gregory and J. B. McDowell of Burnsville, NC..
He is survived by: his wife Jerri McDowell; his daughters, Debbie Ducker (Doug) and Kim Johnson (Chris); his grandchildren, Ryan Ducker (Olivia), Haley Wilson (Kevin), Adrienne Starling and Erika Fox (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Greyson, Hayden, Peyton, Sawyer, Asher, Isabelle, Ryder, Quinn, River, Luke, Nash, Benson and Clara Harris. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Ralph to Compassionate Care WNC at 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
