He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James Jones and Amelia Franklin of Newland, NC.; and his siblings, Charles Jones, Becky Jones Careccia, Jessie Jones, Jr. and Linda Jones Horney.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Whisnant Jones; his children, Jerry Dale Jones (Shanda) of Newland, NC and Tammy Jones (Billy Brooks); his great grandchildren, Brinton, Brelynn Thomas, Arrow, Coasten and Anoaha River Arnett; his siblings, Brenda Jones, Allen Jones (Lucy), Peggy Massey, Ricky Jones (Valerie), Connie Poteat (Rick), Kim Calhoun (Robert) and Lucinda Adams; and his close friend Roger Singleton. He is also survived by grandchildren: his very special granddaughter and caregiver.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Medi Home Hospice at 1955 Newland Highway, P.O. Box 1357, Newland, NC 28657. Keep Jerry James "Paw"'s legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
