She is survived by: her significant other Berl Thomas; her children, Valencia Proffitt (Mike) of Burnsville and Patrick Thomas (Lisa Harrell) of Burnsville; her grandsons, Matthew Proffitt (Tiffany) of Mars Hill, Jason Proffitt of Asheville, Hayden Thomas of Asheville and Landon Thomas of Burnsville; her great grandchild Grey Thomas of Burnsville; her siblings, Glenna (Billy Buchanan), Julia (Jim Blevins), Patsy (Larry Jenkins) and Leland; her sister-in-law Jean Presnell of Burnsville; and her friend Sonya Gouge Brown of Lexington, KY.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
