He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Jane Gardner Charlton of Burnsville; his children, Madison Silvers (Zac) of Spruce Pine and John Claude Charlton of Burnsville; his siblings, Victor Charlton of Buladean and Sally Byrd (Sam) of Jacks Creek; and his close friend Phil Byrd (Lisa). He is also survived by 4 nieces.
