With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Jay Buzenberg (Burnsville, North Carolina), born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on January 16, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Buzenberg and Mildred Erickson Buzenberg. He is survived by: his wife Barbro Bengtson of Burnsville; his son Robert Buzenberg; his daughter-in-law Caroline Buzenberg; his grandson Ari Buzenberg of Fairview; his stepchildren, Philip Greco of Burnsville and Kira Ritter of Alma, CO.; and his siblings, Jesse Reeder of Bend, OR, Helen Buzenberg of Eugene, OR and William Buzenberg of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

“We didn’t know John well, but what we did know made John one of the best men we ever knew. Our last memory? Having trouble with our well, John offered his hose & all the water we needed until our pump was fixed. That was John. Always there to help. Last Fall, our new hot tub was dumped in our driveway. Not only was John there to physically help move it to the back of the house, but he was also there to move it up onto the deck. Deepest condolences to John’s wife, Barbro, & family. Michael/Jean”
