With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Michael Stockton (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on August 3, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Patsy Ward Stockton; and his uncles, Dallas Wayne Garland and Eddie Garland. He is survived by: his father John Stockton; his pet Pookie; his stepmother Margaret Stockton; his wife Sally Melissa Stockton; his children, Elizabeth Sturgill (Dustin), Jeff Stockton (Autumn), Derik Stockton (Whitney) and Mikey Stockton (Betsy); his sister Evelyn Whitson (Beaver); and his sibling's children, Jessie Whitson, David Whitson (Melanie), Zach Whitson (Dee) and Andrew Whitson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one on the way; one great-grandchild.
