He was predeceased by : his parents, Voyd McCurry and Daisy Lockner McCurry; his wife Robin Wray McCurry; his siblings, Anna Lou McCurry and Cecil Wade McCurry; and his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Ann McCurry, Kathy McCurry and Herbert Hopson.

He is survived by : his son Britt McCurry (Lisa); his grandchildren, Logan and Robin of Mebane; his daughter Jamie Price (Brandon); his grandchildren, Hayden and Hannah of Leland; his siblings, Craig McCurry of Asheville, James McCurry of Green Mountain, Linda Sue Hopson of Green Mountain and Judy Barnett (Owen) of Green Mountain; his sister-in-law Nora Peterson McCurry of Horton Hill; and his pet Ty.
