He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Young and Lucy Brown Young; his siblings, Hiram Thomas Young and Minnie Louise Krauss; and his grandchildren, Lindsey W. Young and Scarlet Paige Shrewsbury.
He is survived by: his children, Linwood Young (Lisa) and Brenda Lee Houston (David); his partner McIva Young; his brother Charles Young; his grandchildren, Logan Scott Young, Cheyenne Madison Lemon (Robert), Darrius Trey Houston and Ashlyn Corinne Houston; and his great grandchildren, Mason Andrew Lemon, Theodore Grant Lemon and Benjamin Reed Lemon.
