He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnnie Goree and Vaudell Porter Goree; his former life partner Lucille'Cille'Goree; his granddaughter April Bell; and his siblings, Earl Goree (Kathleen) and Clemmie Nelson (Donald).

He is survived by : his wife Wanda Davis Stough; his children, Ronnie Goree (Barbara) and Debbie Bell (Mike); his grandsons, Chris Bell (Laurie) and Josh Bell (Brenda); his great grandchildren, Easton, Wyatt and Sawyer Bell; and his sisters, Linda Reedy (Stanley), Alpha Williams (Billy) and Patsy Hocutt (Johnny).
