It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Modean Edwards of Burnsville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Modean Edwards to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, R. C. Renfro and Abbie Davis Renfro. She is survived by: her daughter Christy Warehime (David) of Chucky, TN; her grandchildren, Matthew Colson (Jasmine) of Kingsport, TN, Michael Colson of Kingsport, TN, Courtney Merryman (Eric) of Parkville, MD and Brandon Colson of Westminster, MD; her great grandchild Maverick Colson (Rebecca Jones); and her siblings, Ricky Renfro (Joann) of Spruce Pine, NC and Mary Willis of Burnsville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Service (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Yancey Funeral Services to help the family with expenses. Keep Modean's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
