She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Raymond Cutler, Sr. and Jo-Ann Cutler; and her brother Joseph Raymond Cutler, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Eddie Aaron Sparks of Burnsville; her brother John Veysey (Annette) of Coral Springs, Florida; her children, Gary Lee Hendrixson of Fort Lauderdale, Craig Hendrixson (Madison) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Lisa Davis of Roanoke, Virginia; her stepdaughter Shelly Stafford (Jared) of Plumtree; and her grandchildren, Hailey Stafford, Hannah Stafford, Trey Hendrixson, Ava Hendrixson, Madalyn Davis, Jax Hendrixson and Addison Marie Davis. She is also survived by extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rene's memory to the Yancey Humane Society, 211 Kind Hearts Way, Burnsville, NC 28714.
