He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Thomas and Pearl Byrd Thomas; his daughter Rhonda Elaine Thomas; his grandson Matthew Scott Church; and his siblings, Dennis Thomas and Carolyn Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Elaine Hughes Thomas; his children, Willadean Hansen (Robert) of Pigeon Roost and Micky Thomas (Janet) of Whitesville, NC; his grandchildren, Joshua Scott Hansen (Keisha), Michael Paul Hansen (Tara) and Lisa Marie Thomas; and his great grandchildren, Henry Cox, Riley Hansen, Caleb Hansen and Logan Hansen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Service (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
