She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Cornelius and Ruby Ann Edwards Laws; her husband Fred Sturgill; her son Frederick James Sturgill; her great grandchildren, Chase Bennett and Baby Boy Theodorides; her siblings, Leroy, Homer, Reece, Mack, Harold Laws, Bonnie McCurry and Lena Robinson; and her sons-in-law, Terral Callahan and Michael Theodorides.
She is survived by: her children, Susie Callahan of Bakersville, Buddy Sturgill of Pigeon Roost, Danny Sturgill (Velma) of Bakersville and April Theodorides of Pigeon Roost; her grandchildren, Chad Bennett (Melora), Chris Callahan (Eugenia), Nicholas Sturgill (Dana), Celia Street (Nick), Athena Fick (Joseph) and Yanni Theodorides (Elizabeth); her great grandchildren, Zak Bennett, Samantha Street, Fate Sturgill, Carter Sturgill, Samuel Street, Michael Theodorides, Kalliope Fick and Novalee Theodorides; her siblings, Lester Junior Laws (Lennie), Kay McMahan, Jane Deyton, Evelyn Medford and Burma Robinson (Dennis); and her close friend Linda Gray (Jack). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
