Sarah Buchanan Obituary

The memory of Sarah Buchanan (Burnsville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Wilcox and Celia Twiggs Wilcox; her husband James "Jay" Buchanan; her granddaughter Allison Buchanan; her siblings, David Wilcox (Sandy), Madge Biddix (Boyd) and Betty Biddix (Walter); and her brothers-in-law, Gene Buchanan and Charles Carpenter.

She is survived by: her sons, Randal Buchanan (Leigh Ann) of Young Cove and Jimmy Buchanan; her grandson Brennan Buchanan of Young Cove; and her sisters, Sue Buchanan of Young Cove and Linda Carpenter (Donald) of Bakersville.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Green/Young Cemetery.
