It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sheila Raye of Burnsville, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewellin Goodman and Jenni Goodman; her parents-in-law, Ned and Ruby Raye; her brother-in-law Daniel Raye; and her great grandchild Psalm Anderson.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Raye of Burnsville, NC; her daughters, Leslie Anderson (Phil) of Lascassas, TN and Melissa Raye of McMinnville, TN; her siblings, Bobby Goodman of Black Mountain, NC, Lou Goodman of Black Mountain, NC and Sandy Goodman of Black Mountain, NC; her sisters-in-law, Marsha Banks (Jimmy) of Burnsville, NC and Brenda Raye of Navarre, FL; her grandchildren, Philip Anderson (Kara) of Woodbury, TN, Ethan Anderson of Lascassas, TN, Jared Anderson (Michelle) of Readyville, TN and Gracie Anderson (Luke Robertson) of Lascassas, TN; and her great grandchild Ezrah Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her closest friends.
