She was predeceased by: her parents, Nate Geouge and Winnie Hall Geouge Barker; her husband Thurman Briggs; her children, Darrell Briggs and Diane Ross; and her siblings, Betty Grau, Rev. Billy Geouge (Frances) and Charles Barker.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Sabrina Briggs of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Tara Graybeal (Derick) of South Toe, Heath Briggs (Sasha) of Green Mountain and Christopher Sullins (Mary) of Atlanta, GA; her great grandchildren, Destiny Elkins, Kaylee Graybeal, Paisley Graybeal, Millie Graybeal and Waverly Briggs; and her brother Harry Barker (Martha) of Cobbs Creek, VA. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and her church family.
