With solemn reverence, we commemorate Sonia Taylor of Burnsville, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on January 2, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorvald D. Nielsen and Sigrid Wiren Nielsen; her granddaughter April Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Chandler Plummer and Michael Alvarado.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas Chandler Taylor; her children, Patricia "Patsy" Wright (Mitch) of Burnsville, Thomas Chandler Taylor Jr. (Joanne) of Jacksonville, Robert "Bobby" Taylor of Burnsville and Christine "Chris" Taylor of Weaverville; her grandchildren, Candice Taylor, Elin Wright, Erik Wright, Scarlett Vercher and Grant Vercher; and her great grandchildren, Ramses Brown, Addison Finnegan and Nicholas Kendall.
