He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Ezekiel Higgins and Ethel Lear Dayton Higgins. He is survived by: his former wife Amelia Diane Higgins of Burnsville, NC; and his brother Dale L. Osborne (Laura) of Charleston, S. C..
