With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Elkins (Burnsville, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 25, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge Greenlee and Cora Pearl Fox Elkins; and his siblings, Ernest Elkins, Roger Elkins, Vonda Owensby and Mary Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Brittney Nicole Byrd (Charles) of Burnsville, NC; his sister Regena Hensley of Burnsville, NC; and his grandchildren, Aayden, Makynlee, Addilyn, Easton, Coleson and Rylie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Services (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Compassionate Care WNC at 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714. Keep Terry 's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
