He was predeceased by: his grandmother Maggie Lee Coleman-Moore; Aunt and Daisy Melton. He is survived by: his son Thomas DoWun Maye; his parents, Thomas Maye Jr (Janie) and Linda Maye of Wadesboro; his brother LaMorris Mae (Keyunda); his stepsisters, Kenyatte Slater of Monroe, NC, Jerica Willoughby, Maxie McCaskill of Morven, NC and Cardeidra Craig; his grandmother Martha Maye; his aunts, Reverend Ethel Hall (Curtis) of Morven and Brenda Townsend (Johnny) of Morven; his nephew LaMorris Maye Jr.; and his niece Malaysia Maye of Wadesboro. He is also survived by son, father, brother, nephew and friend.
