Gail Effler Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2025, at the age of 90, Gail Effler of Busick, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Woods and Tilda Effler Woods; his wives, Barbara Carroll Effler and Betty Johnson Effler; his great-aunt Adeline Davis; and his siblings, Arnold Effler, Welzie Effler, Edd Effler, Christine Harding and Versie Belle Effler.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Wyatt (Ronnie) and Robert Glenn Effler (Michelle); his grandchildren, Brian Wilson (Tonia), Kyle Wilson of Busick, Adam Effler and Samuel Effler (Michelle) of Marion; his great grandchildren, Raylan Wilson and Sadie Wilson; his sister Thelma Lockman of Marion; and his stepchildren, ReJeanna Trice of Newland, Kristie Johnson of Newland and Finley Johnson, Jr. (Angela) of Newland. He is also survived by several other step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
Memorial donations may be made to Peoples Church in Avery County to help rebuild due to the flood, in care of Amy Oaks at 300 Green Oaks Lane, Newland, NC 28657. Keep Gail's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
