With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ernestine G Harris (Butner, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 25, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ernestine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ernestine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Gooch and Lula Belle Lyon. She is survived by: her children, Jason Green (Angela), Shante Cotton of Oxford and Dominique Lane (Jemel) of Henderson. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (901 E F St, Butner, NC 27509). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
