She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig "George" Mueller and Elizabeth Mueller; her husband James F. Patterson; her children, Deborah A. Satterfield and James F. Patterson Jr.; and her granddaughter Alexis.

She is survived by: her children, Janice M. Downie (Scott), Stephen G. Patterson (Cheryl) and Gregory J. Patterson; and her daughter-in-law Kimberly Welch Patterson. She is also survived by grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members and friends.
