He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bryant and Nell Drakes; his sister Gloria Bryant; and his girlfriend Helen McCray. He is survived by: his children, Melinda McCray of Trenton, NJ, Sabrina McCray of Shallotte, NC, Stephanie Solomon (Rohan) of Little River, SC, Raheem McCray of Atlanta Georgia, Tyquan Ash (Jasmine) of Carey, NC, Rolland Ash of Seoul and Neisha Ash; and his grandchildren, Yoshamel Gerald, Emmanuel Gerald, Glorious Gerald, Sincere McCray, Alkhazed Gerald, Queen Gerald, Javan McCray, Jaquel Davis and Aaliyah Nicole Ash.
Viewing was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ocean View Funeral Home (2410 Shields Rd, Little River, SC 29566). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (8950 Ocean Hwy W, Calabash, NC 28467). A burial was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (333 Crooked Gulley Cir, Sunset Beach, NC 28468).
