With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard G. Shearer of Calabash, North Carolina, born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 15, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Merle Shearer and Gertrude Shearer; and his brother Thomas Shearer. He is survived by : his wife Evelyn Ann Matesic Shearer; his brother Dr. David Shearer; his cousin Charles Mullin (Melody); his niece Lisa Cooper (David); and his nephews, Scott Shearer (Mary Beth Pala) and Robert Mullin (Brooke). He is also survived by granddaughters and one dear grandson and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hope Harbor Home in Brunswick County, NC.
