It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl Odom of Calypso, North Carolina, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Carl Odom (Shag) and Gracie Eudell Strickland Odom; his wife Kathy Hare; and his son Carlton Dean Odom. He is survived by: his sons, Eddie James Odom (Andrea) of Gastonia and Micheal Ray Odom (Katie) of Chapel Hill; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Elianna, Benjamin, Savannah, Luke and Lorelai; and his sisters, Lillie Robertson (Ralph), Linda Ponce (Bert) and Gladys MacDonald. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM.
