He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Jones Taylor; his parents, Roland Taylor and Estelle Rhodes Taylor; his brother Joel Ray Taylor; his sister-in-law Faye S. Taylor; Charlie and Suddie Jones.
He is survived by: his son Lee; his daughter-in-law Jessica G. Taylor of La Grange; his grandchildren, Brynlee Taylor, Gabriel Taylor and Ainsley Taylor; his siblings, Elmer "Buddy" Taylor of Summerln's Crossroads and Betty Faye; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Sauls of Bowdens and Annette P. Taylor of Grantham.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tyndall Funeral Home (1005 N Church St, Mt Olive, NC 28365).
