With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Yvonne Johnson Tillman (Calypso, North Carolina), who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. D. Johnson and Hazel Johnson of Calypso; her husband Gary Tillman; and her son Mark Tillman. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Tillman Weeks; her son-in-law Bill Weeks of Raleigh; her son Gary Tillman (Buster) of Hampstead; her grandchildren, Casey Tillman Kelly, Gary Mark Tillman, Ryan Tillman, Heather, April Tillman Goodson, Josh, Michael Weeks, Whitney Behrend and Mike; her great grandchildren, Rhylea Kelly, Clay Tillman, Marley Tillman, Corbin and Carson Goodson; and her cousin Joe Anne Pate.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calypso Cemetery.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts may be made to Calypso Baptist Church or Transitions HospiceCare of Raleigh in honor of Yvonne.
