He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Adam Hartman and Verina Janke Hartman; and his daughter Dawn Cummings. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mitchell Hartman; his children, Wendy Watson (Tim) of Michigan, Kim Bailey (Gus) of Michigan, Jo Ann Fruchey of Indiana and David Damon (Donnalee) of North Carolina; and his sisters, Judy Eggert of Florida and Marilyn Kimball of Michigan. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394).
